*dealing with injuries*

i did some looking into bbing periodization, couldnt find anything that didnt resemble the plan you already had. mostly, they mentioned exercises being manipulated weekly or biweekly as opposed to cycling reps, though rep cycling was obviously one of the patterns.

Cool thanks for looking into that for me mate i appreciate it!

I'm in the same boat as you bro... waiting on a tendon injury to heal.
unlike you i cant do any upper body training at all , depression and frustration are getting the better of me too but i took some good advice from some of the guys here regarding training legs and core etc .

The most important thing is to make sure you dont aggrivate your injury and give it a chance to heal...you can try to train through it but you would regret it .

Best of luck with your recovery.

Ive gota a aching neck pain on the left side just where the shoulder meets the neck. (Inexperience in squats, was pulling down on the bar as i was coming up)

My mate today said that i should put something really warm on it. Then something cold. Then repeat twice. and go for a swim? Apparaently it streches it out but doesnt put to much strain on it. Then wait 2 hours and do it again. Afterwards wait it out for 2-3 days and then you should be good.

Injuries suck. I havent been to the jim in ages because of this one.

Definatly ice it, inflamation= pain. ice will reduce that, make life much easier. another thing is dont sit around the couch. when your sitting theres 3x as much pressure on your low back. dont know about the mid back, id speculate that its still more pressure. getting out and walking around was the best thing i was doin for recouperation. dont reaggrivate the spot and you'll be better in no time.

Yeah i find in the mornings is when it hurts the most because ive been sleeping on it all night, but once i get moving around it feels much better. Yes, ice is definetely your friend the first few days then heat treatment after that, anti inflammatorys four times a day for a week also is a must. I must be careful now to ease back into training and not to re aggrovate the injury, im lucky because i can still train i just cant do any twisting or bending. I just gotta be careful to ease back into it and not get to eager that has been a problem with me in the past when i had a shoulder reconstruction lol

ill look into that book too mate it looks like it could be very helpful!!! and thanks for the help guys and to you other bros with your injuries, dont listen to what your mates say unless its their profession pt/physio. do things properly and you will be healed in no time at all, best of luck with the healing process lol its a bitch
