though I've grown up quite a bit since my younger wilder days granted I'll be 29 here pretty soon... that all seems like alifetime ago.... my personal opinion having had more run ins with the law than I care to count in public... and having a an older brother who has has done more years in prison than my heart wants to count and more to go (thank god my little brother good... for my mothers sake!!)... I say the worst thing you can do for him is get him a good lawyer... right now he's not lookin at anything too big and if his PO is pulling for him that holds ALOT of weight witha judge.... 6 weeks will come and go quicker than a cunt hair on a stripper... they'll have him on a workout program and maybe give him a little discipline... they will also give him a little taste of what it's like when someone else is running your life (which is really the best thing he will experience outta that program)... which is exactly what he'll get if he's keeps on going on the road he's on... not to mention the quality people you will be immersing yourself in!! all it takes is for one bad night when your a little drunk and things begin turning towards a direction that will lead you to the big house.... and drugs and alcohol usually tend to dull your gut reactions and liquid courage wears away shortly after it's all too late.... that's to say if he doesn't just end up in an accident.... you can do hard time for something as little (in most people's books) as a dui.... had a family friend that went to prison for 3 years having fallen asleep at the wheel after drinking he was below the legal limit at the time but it had been a long day of driving.... hit a car and the other driver broke their ankle in the crash... he ended up with a list of charges... one being dui... another a felony assault... one thing most people don't realize is there is actually no such thing as a "legal limit" for intoxication.... if you are pulled over and blow below the "legal limit" but the officer still has reason that you are incapable of operating a motor vehicle.... he may still ake you to jail... and charge you with dui!!! also in dui cases it is rare that is your only charge... they tack on wreckless endangerment etc etc.... and that is if you didn't wreck your car.... then they plea you down to feeling good about only getting a dui!! and that is just dumb kid shit and many of us have had at least one dui if you drink long enough and get behind the wheel enough times eventually you pulll a case... it all fairly minor... maybe.... but things can go bad quickly... you kill somebody in a dui wreck... you're f'd bigtime and yeah you'll be going to the big house... and it is a fine line between stickin your car in a ditch, and hurting somebody in another car.... and keep in mind you don't actually have to "injure" them as some folks are waitin for a fender bender to get a little spending cash from whiplash etc!! anyways sorry to take up so much of your time.... best of luck with all of it!! I hope things work out for the best.... thta's not to say the easist or most painless... but for the overall best!!
