First of all this is coming from a guy from ireland who does not even live here. Our kids have been going to schools for years and joinging the military. they are pussies because of people like yourself who want to be nice to these kids and baby them and tell them to love themselves. I do love a good debate myself. Any good debate needs to be backed by facts. What facts are you basing your arguement on? As far as citizen on citizen violence goes for population size, Scotland is the winner by a mile by a UN report (this surprised me). The US does not appear to be anywhere near the top as far as that goes. As far government waged war goes maybe when Ireland's Windsor or Liberty Hall is bombed you might change your view. Prehaps we would be better off going back to our ways of isolationism before the world wars. I would be more than certain that the latest popularity polls don't show 99% disliking Bush. He may not be very popular and many Americans may not agree with him but making some poor decisions is not a reason to impeach. Besides he can only do what Congress allows him to do.

But to get back to the point of this thread not that loving and cuddling does not have its purpose but I think this is a unreasonable response for this. Sometimes bad behavior needs negative consequences. That teaches respect and how to follow rules. I don't think telling this kid "Its ok. I know you are misunderstood and don't get enough love is the right answer." Let him sit in jail a bit and see what is in store for him and work on gettin him some therapy.
