The MRI confirmed what I already knew. My right shoulder has the tear and is the cause of most of the pain. My left shoulder was described as having something degenerative as well as edema in the bursa. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and have the tendon repaired. I've been doing physical therapy for 6 months and I've had 2 cortisone injections in each shoulder as well as taking anti inflammatory steroids (prednisone, etc.). I'm diabetic and the prednisone and cortisone did some damage to my sugar levels. I'm sure the surgery will put me out of the gym for two months at least. Maybe I can just concentrate on cardio and getting lean. My training goal has never been to be a competitive bodybuilder. I just want a decent physique with strong muscles.
