I have added over 100 pounds to my raw squat in the last year using the Westside methods alone.

I don't normally do that much work, but a couple times a year I get a wild hair, and just go nuts. I handle it well, and recover from it well, as long as I keep paying attention. It lasts about 8-10 weeks, generally, then I need to cut back. I always seem to come out of these a little faster and a little stronger. I wish I had taken advantage of these high capacity times earlier, but I didn't used to recognize them.
