Well, I must have reached a new level.
They asked a guy to "talk to me". Everything was fine as long as I was doing the bodybuilding thing for years. Now the problems are:
1)No chalk. Too messy.
2)No bands. They may snap, too much insurance liability.
3)No chains. Too messy and too much liability.
4)No box squats. Foreign equipment not acceptable.
5)No board presses. Foreign equipment not acceptable.
These are the management's complaints both delivered individually and through some of the trainers.
My problems have been:
1) Lack of a training team to motivate me.
2) Lack of spotters with competence.
3) Lack of equipment: no GHR, no sleds, no alternate bars, and one power rack used almost exclusively for curls. The management actually had complaints from people waiting to do curls in the squat rack that I monopolize the "curl area". I also monopolize the deadlift platform while people are waiting to do aerobic step-ups there. The management, being decent people just trying to run a business, ignored this nonsense. But it wasn't helping socially . . .
4) Lack of experienced competitors to help me with shirts and other gear.
So I can line up for the hammer strength machines and spin bike classes, or I can find a new gym. I may have to make my own pit, as this is a small redneck town with 3 commercial gyms. I don't know what to do as today was DE Lower day . . .
Plus, now, I need to cancel my membership, as the whole family was only following me . . . And I want to lift!
