is this bullshit of true? rice is the reason why my diets have gone down the toilette, if cold rice reduces calories I might start eating it cold, thoughts on this bros, thank you.

http://www.bbc.com/news/health-32019176 Scientists say they have found a way to make rice less calorific - boil it with coconut oil and then refrigerate for half a day before eating.
According to the Sri Lankan researchers, treating rice in this way reduces its calories by up to 60%.
They told the American Chemical Society how the method made the starch in the rice less digestible so the body took on less fuel than it otherwise would.

When you refrigerate starch, some of that starch converts to resistant starch which is similar to fiber.

What the article says is 100% true but they are blowing it out of proportion. Yes, you will get slightly less net carbs by eating cold rice vs hot rice but the difference is so minuscule it will make no real world difference in your physique.

Eat less ANYTHING.

It really is that simple. The problem is that people are not consistent. They eat good a few days per week and then fuck off on the weekends. Then they wonder why they do not see any progress.
