Chucks? Low or High Top

I feel the low tops are a bit more fashionable.......kidding....but not really.

So does it make a difference If I get low or high top all stars as far as squatting and deadlifting goes?

or is it personal preferance.

I hope this doesnt sound stupid!

I wear the high tops and I guess they give some ankle support, but for me I dont notice any ADDED ankle support. I guess its just preference. But it does feel better during dls and squats to have a flat sole shoe rather than having a cushioned heel sole.

I heard that one of the reasons that chucks are so good for lifting is that they don't have ankle support. So, in theory I don't think it would really make a difference.

High tops, so you can press out against the walls more.

I wear the low tops, i dont know i just personally don't like the feel of the hightops it bothers me a bit when the shoe sort of bends
