Hey guys I was wondering if there is a carryover from stiff legged deads to regular deads.

I remember back in march when I pulled 425 i was doing I think around 235 stiff legged deads.

Well today I did 295 PR AWESOME for me I think especially that I'm stil recovering from a lower back injury. BUT does anyone know if there is a carryover???

Thanks like always

I dont know if there is much of a carry over.

how many reps are you doing? or are you maxing out.

I have only ever used them as an assistance exercise.....
I have never used them as a single....i dont know if it would be "safe" (what is safe huh?)maybe im getting old.

Thanks for the responses guys. Well I do these as an ME lift on SQ/DL day. I'm not sure how dangerous they are but I guess they could be VERY dangerous now that I look at it.

ZZuluZ what's that polar stuff ur talkin bout????

Nothing. Just meant to say I had a completely different situation.

My DL was a LOT weaker but not my SLDL.

i bave the same prob. as ZZuluZ in that my sldl is pretty strong while my real deadlift is not. too many sl when i started that now it feels strange to pull another way. this is a problem i am currently working on.
