Re: Can some one please post what a days eating on the keto diet looks like so I can
This topic will be debated forever but you bring up a good point. Most texts will tell about the dangers of vitamins, ketogenic diets and the dangers of consuming more than 40 grams of protein per day. In the real world low carb diets have been around for hundreds of years and were a staple in a bodybuilders' diet back in the 60's and 70's. Most of those guys are still doing fine today.
Any type of CKD is usually a short term diet anyways so there's really not much to be concerned about as long as you limit the duration of your cycle. Epileptic patients have been following low carb high fat diets for years on end with no health problems whatsoever. Ketosis will not cause ketoacidosis in non-diabetics. And as long as you have a large storage of fat, your brain will not starve for energy. I've seen a bunch of people over the years decrease their cholesterol levels and end up looking a lot better after switching over to reduced carb diets as well. Ketosis is certainly not a prerequisite for fat loss but it does help for some people. This diet is not for everyone and I would recommend people to experiment on themselves to see what works and what doesn't work.
And my breath is minty fresh all day long...

Also, once you start spilling ketones, your breath will be acetone (yes, nail polish remover) breath.... and once you are done with it, make sure to follow up with a liver detox ... and watch those kidneys. I would recommend you do some blood work as well. Im in school for dietetics and they bombard me with this info every dayyyyyy lol
