Brian and Screwball

BigOkie, I train at the Gold's Gym in Lawton. Only one or two members train for strength. A lot of bodybuilders or wanna-be bodybuilders. I own the power rack.

My new gym in Tulsa is in my house. Power rack, low pulley lat pulldown and bench were ordered monday and should be here friday. I am building a reversey hyper to go inside the rack (Thanks JimmieDean), and will have dumbells, a stability ball, chains, bands, and I have a sled for pulling.

I honestly think it will have everything necessary for getting really strong, although I wish I had room to put in a glute/ham raise.

next Sunday is cool, I am sure of it, and I would be happy to go to the Rockhouse in Stillwater, or you guys would be welcome to come to my house, as everything will be up and running by then.

Let me know what you guys want to do.

It doesn't matter to me where we train. It's up to you guys.

Screwball, that's awesome that no one gets in your way in the power rack. At the college gym here that I used to go to noone ever got in the power rack at all except me. I'd spend most of my workout there and noone would bother me.

Brian, sounds good. It sounds like you will have everything you need to get bigger and nail 500 in May. One of the first super heavyweight powerlifting champs trained in his garage. And yet I still hear people say that there is no way to get stronger if you train at home. Of course these are the same people who avoid squats like the plague.

Anyway, it's up to you guys to decide where and I'll meet you there as long as I can find it.

Brian,

Assuming you receive all of the equipment you ordered by Friday, will your new gym be set up by Sunday? I don't want to put alot of pressure on you to have everything up and running before Sunday. If you think you will have everything set up with no problems, I would really like to check out your new home gym. If not then maybe we should head over to BigOkie's to train. At this point I think maybe you should make the decision where we train.

The only thing I require is quick access to a trash can in case you guys bury me and make me puke. Which reminds me, what about eating after the workout. We need to get our priorities straight!

If the stuff gets here tomorrow we will be up and running by sunday. But I can guarantee it will be up and running by next sunday, so if that is cool with everyone then Sunday the 14th at my house is cool. And I will smoke a ham or turkey, or grill burgers, for post workout meal. Whatever sounds good to you guys. Post me here, or call me at (918) 850-3198 and let me know what you guys want to do.

And there will be a trash can and a door and a window within puking distance. Though by the size of you two, I am most likely the one to be getting buried. But beware, sometimes midgets can be sneaky.

Sounds good...

Sounds like a plan. Can you email me some directions? Let me know if I need to bring anything. Beer perhaps...

- Screwball

Sounds good to me. Yeah if you could post directions to your house, cause I've only been to Tulsa 3-4 times. Just throw us out some directions and a time that you want us there.
I wouldn't worry about being buried, I think both of you can out bench me, for the time being.

I live at 808 North Emerson, Jenks, OK. Jenks is a suburb of Tulsa, just to the South on Interstate 75. If you are coming from downtown Tulsa, go south on I-75 for 9 miles, look for the sign which says "Jenks" exit to the right, then turn left (east) so that you are going on a bridge back over I-75, then take the 1st left into the housing addition called "Staplehurst" it is a very small addition. Go in and stay to your left, taking the third possible right hand turn which I think is "G" street, turn south on Emerson and my house is the second one.

The equipment did not come in on Friday. And by the time I got home from work to discover no equipment, NewYorkBarbell was closed for the weekend, so I could not even call and yell at anyone. We should be up and running by this coming weekend with no problems. We can do it here or in Stillwater. Lets try and decide by Wednesday. I will know what is up with equipment by then. If we do it here, we will definately have a cookout. My cell is (918) 850-3198, and my home is (918) 296-5101, in case you get lost. Or just want to talk.

Hope your stuff comes in quick. The mail lately has sucked. It's never on time anymore and now there raising stamps again. Oh well, nothing we can do about that.

It really doesn't matter where we train, I'm willing to drive. I just want to train with plifters. It gets old watching while guys do 25 sets of bench and flyes. Sorry, not trying to rant just complaining.

If your stuff comes in let us know we can train up there. If not, we can come down here this week. Just drop us a line and tell me where. Good luck setting up your gym.

Equipment arrived via FedEx yesterday!!!

Power rack is already put together and on a platform made from 3/4 plywood covered with 3/4 rubber mats. Black texas power bar, 600+ lbs of olympic weights, stability ball should be here today or tomorrow, dumbells, chains, bands, I am making the reverse hyper to fit in the power rack tonight. I beleive we are set.

They did screw up by not sending me the right lat machine, but we can do bent over rows with a dumbell or barbell for lats this week if that is cool with you guys. Let me know what time you guys are wanting to be here on Sunday if you are still coming. Anytime is fine with me, just let me know so I will know when to get the smoker fired up.
