Breast Augmentation???

I'm not anticipating any problems this time. I'm going to be on a 2 week course of antibiotics before surgery, plus again for a little bit after surgery and we're using some special sutures that are pre-treated with an antibiotic. Then a few months after this I'm going in for my long awaited tummy tuck! I've got a busy few months ahead of me here.

Bosco...hopefully you'll never need the lift but if in years to come you do need one, don't be scared. The implants were the tough part, a lift isn't nearly as painful and the scaring will be minimal in time. Good luck, hun! Make sure you fill us in on how things went after surgery.

What are partials?????

Partials means that the implant will be placed partially underneath the pectoral muscle. (1/4 will be below the pectoral muscle to give more of a lifting appearance.) I've seen pics, but as the time nears (less than 3 weeks) I'm getting frightened! Partials are used for patients who aren't yet candidates for a lift, but could be in the very near future.

That sounds a lot riskier in terms of healing time than just over or under...

Yes...but I have an update! I've decided to go over. Screw it...if I have to get it done again in 5-10 I'll deal with it. I don't want to hinder my chest gains by being out for over a month...and besides, some (some) women who go under are so paranoid they never train chest again...(I would have probably fallen into that category.) So whopeee! No neverending healing time! I feel so much better.

That sounds like a good choice for you. You shouldn't go into a procedure full of fear (at least not one that's elective...sometimes we don't have a choice, of course), that's for sure! Good for you!

I'm very willing. I have my pre-operation consultation tomarrow, then the surgery is two weeks from then. I will update on thursday if there are any changes. Thanks for the support everyone!

i have a question - how come you guys have had implants at all?
what are the benefits of having bigger boobs? is it just to keep them from sagging or what?

i've been a 34A since i was 12 and i've never once wished for bigger breasts. in fact, if my boobs get permanently bigger with pregnancy, i'll be super upset. i can't see why anyone would want big breasts??? don't they just get in the way?

i certainly agree that people should do what makes them happy, but i really don't get this implant thing...can anyone explain?

and please don't think i'm getting down on anyone...i'm not!!! i just really don't understand what the attraction is??
