I can no longer stomach my protein powder, I'm fed up with eating 15 egg whites a day and I would throw away if I smell tuna

So I consider eating those protein bars

I've never tried them and there are like 10,000 brands on the market

Do you guys have some advice?

My goal is a not-too-bad-tasting bar with a large good-quality-protein content, moderate carbs and fat and not too expensive
 
oh man, beware of bars: most are overpriced sugar-coated crap. The "good " ones will set you back dearly though.

I only tried some bars once, the weider 42% ones (they are HUMONGOUS), since those are apparently the only bars in the market with more protein than carbs... nevertheless, the quality of the protein (collagen and some whey) apparently was not the best, they were expensive, gave me gas and didn't taste THAT good.

I prefer to cook, this game ain't easy.

Whatever you do, don't make them an staple, have one here and there (maybe once in a week) as treat if you find one that tastes good enough for you.

the sugar is these things kill you. you need to just start cooking like whole turkey breasts or bags of chicken breasts and eat them thruout the week. i'll take a publix bran young turkey breast, throw that bad boy on the girll for like 1.5 hours. let it cool, cut it from the bone and then you can eat off it all week, do the same with tyson or any brand chicken breasts, cook the whole bag or 2 and there you again can eat all week. it's tough sometimes, you can always give up and eat a mickey d's like the rest of the fat artery clogged muther f'ers out there.

stick with it bro. after a while eating just becomes something you do to feed your body, not for pleasure, enjoy your cheat day and then the rest of the week, back to the grind.

Cooking is what I've done for the past few years

But after daily tuna, egg white or chicken breast it is becoming a real pain to eat "real food"

and it is not that expensive: 1 bar is between 20 and 30g of Protein for around $2

For $2 of chicken you don't have that much Protein
