Remember, to utilize it correctly you need to start out light and just add 5 pounds a week. So it will take 2-3 months at least to really get the effect you're looking for. Hang in there and increase your strength little by little; have a long-term outlook and you should be fine.
 
Thanks.Thats how I train my legs - small increments each week.I have tried that with back but I just cannot lift any more each week.I just stay still.
 
try doing rack pulls. put the pins in a rack at knee height. just like a deadlift but you use more back plus you can use alot more weight. it will smoke your back great for thickness.
