As Promised, Makavelli's Cycle and Diet

I dont know why, but every night I crave mint chip icecream. Just that. I want it right now. I hate chocolate and never ate that or candy growing up. I'm craving those chocolate chips melting in my mouth as I type this. DAMN!

Bro, I hear ya.. Right now Im trying my hardest to keep myself away from the fridge.. I have a half gallon of Moose Tracks ice creams waiting for me on my cheat day,... But that isnt till Sunday... Sat night I let myself have a few more glasses of wine than usual and I let myself go on Sunday.. Ill eat 40-50 grams of protein per meal but i wont count all the carbs and fat i eat... Right now I wish I could put that half gallon in the microwave for about 30 sec so its nice and moist and then bury my face in the container.... damn now that ive just read what i wrote i cant say that i feel that way towards many hoes.... LOL

ihulk and benhart... dont know where you guys came from but its nice to have a few big and tight dudes in this thread... i thought i was the only one DYING from these horrible cravings... Right now im cutting on NPP and Prop and I basically have to tape my fridge shut at night cuz if i dont, i will find a way in there to eat whatever isnt bland protein....

lol! thanks man. even Mak said its hard for him too. So I guess its more common than we think. I try to crush my cravings with a nice cold chocolate myoplex 53 gram protein/cla/glutamine/fiber shake with a banana and ice blended. Tastes pretty close to a choc milkshake.

Well, I made it through the night with no mint chip. I ate 1% "no salt added" cottage cheese mixed with strawberry low-carb yogurt.

wow, that is incredible discipline and I applaud your results, it shows brotha. Interesting that you mention sleepng, because towards the end of my cyc and after 10-12 weeks of strict dieting my sleep pattens get all messed up too. I fight the urge not to raid the fridge , and even if I did there is nothing in there that will satisfy my craving. Not one thing that is worth getting out a bed for. So I just lay there and suck it up.

I understand its part of your job to be so disciplined because I think you mentioned your a fitness model (or aspiring to be one) and god knows your livelyhood depends on looking perfect. But even then, not being able to go out for a nice dinner every once in a while or seeing a movie with your girlfriend (or wife) or friends seems like it would take a toll on your mental state. For me the gym, diet, training, partaking in this forum are enjoyable to me, but if it stops me from enjoying the finer things in life, I wouldn't do any of it.

Plus it helps with getting chicks, which btw is my sole purpose on this blue earth ---chase tail. LOL!

Once I get to where I need to be I can take a few days off here and there. They usually give you at least a week to be ready for a shoot. For the most part they understand that you don't walk around looking like that all the time. I don't plan on doing this for that long. Just long enough to get out of it what I need, which is experience, print work, etc. Then I'll move into film and T.V., which is my ultimate goal.

I totally understand what you're saying bro. My fiance always asks me how long I plan on doing this when I come back from my second session of cardio looking like a zombie and can hardly walk up stairs to our room. I don't plan on living this way forever.

The only thing I can recommend to you guys for cravings is Meridia. I haven't been able to find it though for a long time, but that stuff worked. I have a huge appetite and it cut down on the cravings.

you just have to think about how f*cking bad you really want the look your going for. you wake up and go to the gym religously and slave yourself, while others eat & sleep their lives away. believe me, I been wanting to tear them damn girl scout cookies up for weeks now since they have been out again, but i dont. all of the effort and hard work you put in to your body to waste it on 10 mins of indulgence. it's not worth it to me. i just stick with my cheat days and remember that it is coming up soon and that usually helps. also anpb will satisfy my craving sometimes.

also mak,
your diet you've got listed here.

meals with chicken and yams, do you prepare them different each time or the same way each time? it gets really old eating the same thing time after time, i've been doing it for while now, but then again, I look forward to my cheat days. whats your opinion?

I cook them the same way and eat them the same way all the time. Yes, it's boring, but diets aren't fun. I don't veer off my diet plan at all. The only time it changes is when I need to start lowering carbs more, which is usually about 4 weeks out from the shoot. Then I'll add more fat to make up for the lost cals from carbs.

how do you cook them?? grill, broil, bake??

I remember my last show down in Long Beach. I was driving down Interstate I-5, the day before the show, from the Bay Area. I had a large bowl of yams on the front passenger seat. I was cramming them down every hour, while chugging a bottle of creatine. Since I was water depleteing, it was brutal! When I got to Long Beach, my buddies saw orange mush and white powder all over me. They thought I was snorting fatties and puking. LMFAO!!
