Anyone guided a girl for training??

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has ever helped a girl (friend, wife, girlfriend) with their workout, if they are into the fitness category of bodybuilding.
I know you guys have lots of knowledge and experience and would like to know what kind of suggestions you made for training workouts and other comments and emphasis so that they could achieve their goals.
 
I finally convinced my wife to free weight squat intead of only using machines for legs. I also got her to start deadlifting.

I tryed once, it took me almost three weeks to get her into a set routine. Dumbell Inclines, military dumbells, and tricept pushdowns one day and lat pull downs, cable rows, and curls on wens, on friday Squats and extension and calf work. it lasted for about2 months, results were real good then she went to college and got a trainer and all she does now is circuit training:mad:
 
I have started training a friend of mine and stressed to her above all, the importance of building muscle in order to be toned.

I have her doing just free weights, no machines to get her used to enjoying the 'harder' aspect of training.

Secondly, i stressed that she doesn't need to be in the gym 7 days per week in order to improve and to not obsess about diet, eat clean and low fat, but don't want her weighing food, counting calories etc. I don't want her changing her whole lifestyle overnight.

Setting small, measureable goals is important, not saying i want to look good in three months for summer. I want her to be doing this longer term and enjoy it, which she is at the moment.

She is in decent shape already, so not too many changes were required, other than emphasising her training more.
 
my girlfriend plays basketball and she wanted to increase her vertical. the trainer at the gym wanted her to stick to more plys.
i play with my girlfriend all the time in ball and her individual differences to me show she needs to increase stregnth.
so i made a program involving all free weights. the gym she goes to doesnt have to much weigth so i got her doing more balance work with weigths.
ex. lungs, balgarian split squat, one leg squats.
i told her to start those after she has the back and front squat down.
put this trainer is pissing me off.
