Another Leg Thread

Since there have many questions on legs, I wanted to throw another one out there. My question is about gaining more definition and cuts. I have absolutely no problems building my quads, hams calves. I eat very clean and I am on a cutting cycle that includes ox. What exercises do you guys use for defining? As in what I refer to as "pretty moves" I generally like to do traveling lunges with 30-50lb BB. or with 15-20lb DB. Some moderate weight extensions and incline bench DB hammie curls. What does everyone else do?

Cuts are determined by genetics and degree of body fat. The idea that a certain exercise will "bring out" cuts is a myth.

It is very late, so I will make this short. I disagree with ya Realgains. I find that when I do lunges, the definition becomes more noticeable. Maybe muscle pump but I doubt that it is the pump that just stays. I was just curious anyways about what other people (women mainly but a man's input is welcome) did for defining moves.

That's all for now. I am going to bed. G'Nite!

No moves give "defenition" by virtue of the move itself. The moves that have been attributed to this gained that reputation based on:

1. the fact that they pumped blood into the muscle which caused short term defenition and fascial stretch which would lead to better defention in the long run

2. the fact that those moves were traditionally done with light weight and high reps. High repetitions of a particular movement are well documented to cause vascularization in the muscle (and probobly on the surface of the muslce as well...)

3. to a lesser degree, "defentition" moves are seldom multijoint/multimuscle moves. Its easier to get a pump in one muscle than it is to get it in more than one (consider the quad pump from leg extensions versus a quad pump doing squats!)

Cuts are genetic, but until you get your BF down enough youll never see the degree of cuts you are capable of having.

All you can do is train the muscle to grow to optimal size and then strip of fat to make it look as impressive as you can!

If you brought out cuts supposedly doing an exercise, than you had to be losing bF at the same time and that was what was primarily responsible for your increased definition. Guys don't have any secrets women don't but you ladies must stop buying into these myths the way some of you do. Thats' why you are always seeking.........
