Abs while bulkin?

I don't understand the question. Do you want your midsection stronger or not? I mean, while you're bulking they may not be as visible but that doesn't mean you shouldn't work them. A good strong core is key to all your lifts.. imho

am I alone here?

I see your point. Time to eat on some humble pie. I read the thing about ab work being extra taxing on the cns in a Nelson Montana article and a British sports science journal quoted by UK supplement co Maximuscle, which is quite well trusted over here, but i see your point.
If i come accross it again i'll make sure i post it in these forums.

I will do abs but now my question is how much

Heres what ive been doin

2 x 25 reverse crunches but when legs are vertical lift ass off ground(dunno what their called)

3 x 50 twisting crunches immedietly doin 50 reg crunches afterwards

Is there a reason why people work at like 5-10 reps/set on every muscle except abs, where they'll do like 50 or even 100+? Same goes for frequency -- a lot of people hit each muscle once a week but will do abs nearly every day. It's not a rhetorical question, I'm seriously asking.

I've switched over to adding resistance to keep it in the 10-15 rep range, thinking hey, if I want my arms to grow I need to lift heavy, so what's the difference with the abs? I can understand working abs a little more frequently though, as I've read that they recover faster than other muscle groups.
