abcess, i think

Anybody

New member
Injected 1.3 cc's of test E in my delt about four days ago. It was sore right away. Normally I don't get any soreness till hours ands hours after injecting. Now it's kinda red, a little swollen, a bit hot, and it hurts more than it should. There's no lump yet though. I started feeling kinda feverish last night when i was lying in bed, but i woke up this morning and i feel fine.

Is this definitely an abcess developing, and do i need to see a doctor right away?

edit: my dad's a doctor, so i can get an antibiotic from him. I need some BS reason though, not telling him what it's really for. What's a good excuse?

In my opinion if you don't feel well then you should always go to the dr. its not a good idea to gamble with your health if you dont' have to.

Did you measure your temperature? Talked like you were feverish. If you have a fever you want to see a doc ASAP.

i actually read what you wrote and i say know its not...Probably just a reaction to ba in it.....I dont see instant abcess 12 hours after a shot....Save your money

yeah, it's definitely an abcess  It just started getting real itchy, that's pretty much the last sign i hadn't seen yet. Still no lump, but i'm sure it's just a matter of time. Should I go to my general internist? Or is there a cheaper route?

check your temperature, could be just irritation from the BA, oil or the gear that you injected, massage the area while you are bathing with hot water try it to use as hot as you can....will help dissipate the oil....

Levaquin is the anti-biotic for abcesses. I have had three so I am familiar with it. If it is hot to the touch and there is a lump increasing in size then you should go get it checked out.

tell him some crazy steroid freak had a case of roid rage at the gym, he went to stab a young girl with 2ml of test e in the face, so you jumped in the way and took a hit in the shoulder, you saved the girl from growing facial hair and her voice lowering an octave, but you now have an abcess in your shoulder from taking the shot. im proud of you bro.

Levaquin is super expensive, get Cipro its the generic brand, feels great by the next day, totally gone in less than 3-4

I've already used that one.

give it a week... to see if it improves... i had the same symptoms ... became red hot... lil itch... but slowly got better after a week and cleared itself up on its own... why let the doctors know your on juice without giving your body a lil chance... its been 4 days... 2 of 3 more isnt gonna make or break you... i understand the advice you guys are giving him but we've all had injections where we thought a slight abcess was occuring that turned out to be totally fine... i think 4 days is a bit to early. Lots of injections react differently.

I wouldn't risk it bro, yea I guess it is possible that it could go away on it's own....but do you really want to take that chance? I went to the doc and said I sat on a thumb tack, I don't think she believed me but she gave me antibiotics and it cleared up in a few days.

yah same thing happa with my brother..hahah i was laughing at hm but io had him check out the doc and he said that the steroid was impure and thats what casued the infection!!

gotta keep it warm and rub it out. I personally waited and it went away...but i skipped my cycle for about a week and just rubbed it out! weird!!

ehh, i'm pretty suer this one ain't going away. It's starting to bubble up to the surface, and it's looking like a big one. Looks almost 2 inches across, bigger than a golf ball.

For those of you who had abcesses, what happened with them? Did some of them just go away with antibiotics without having to cut or drain them? And for people who had to cut/drain them, how long did it take before you could go back to lifting? This thing's covering a part of my lateral delt, bicep, and tricep. I don't wanna take any risks putting too much pressure on it, which rules out most upper body exercises.

i retract my statement... sounds like you are forming an abcess... deff get it checked out before the situation gets worst. gl
