why is every b-ball event a pile-on? as of 3pm. This should be fun. I'll either be rich or road kill.
I went the other way twice
the pitching matchups are about the same so I took the dogs

but those juicy odds are supposed to make you guys bet on the losing team
man baseball is the hardest to bet on IMO, so many games and the odds kill u if you bet on fav. I lost a shitload of cash to my book about 3 yrs ago, didnt help betting on yankees and risking 1k to win $300, I tend to do runline a lot w/ big fav or parlays.

I have success when I look across the entire day and can bet some dogs and favs

betting straight favorites will kill you
betting all dogs is losing action too

I look at pitching matchups and avoid a favorite when I see good recent performance out of the opposing starter
I dont care about names
I value the most recent 3-5 start performance (I dont care about the teams-major leaque batting is for the most part the same)
I dont care about ERA-ERA is an extremely weak predictive stat
I only look at ERA to see how the betting will go
you can make bank betting against good ERA pitchers with poor base stats
and going the other way with poor ERA pitchers with strong base stats
