How many Nurses do you know who make 60-100 dollars an hour? Hate to break it to ya, but it's more around 25-30 give or take depending on the location. If you're looking to make money in a health related field while going back to college to get some sort of degree, take a look into pharmacy. The national average starting pay is 100 grand a year, straight out of pharmacy school.
If I were you I would do this: don't buy a house, it'll be more money than it's worth, even if you come across a deal on a foreclosure it can still be shaky. Keep on renting, enroll in a 2 year community college as Pre-pharmacy major, approximately 64 credits apply to pharmacy school which is 4 years in length. Keep your GPA in above a 3.5, study hard for a the PCAT test and score in the upper 80's and you'll get in.. If that doesn't work out after your second year transfer to a 4 year university and get your BA, reapply to pharmacy school until you get in. you just have to work at it.
