1st bad shot.. After 8 years..

I consider myself a vet when it comes to aas knowledge and injection technique... I have prolly poked myself close to a thousand times...

I always preach not to mix water and oil in the same syringe BUT last night I was lazy and I shot 1mL of suspension mixed with 1mL of NPP...

Almost immediatly after the injection I got a quarter sized lump on my ass. Looked like a big zit. I wet a cloth, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then sat with the warm compress on my ass for 30 min or so. I put some anti-bacterial cream on it before I went to bed as well.

I could really sleep last night. I kept waking myself up due to the pain. I will keep adding heat to it, keep with the anti-bacterial cream and I also have tetracycline on hand.

My question is what other steps can I take in the next couple days before I "might" need to go see a doc??? Thanks in advance.

PS I heard maybe benedryl?

I have also heard benadryl. Still havent had a bad one myself (crosses fingers). Have you ever heard it was bad to use heat? Something about spreading infection or something along those lines...PS, you know better than mixing shit like that lol

Of course I know better.. I was in a rush to get out the door and I just didn't feel like loading another pin.. Well, now I can barely drive, walk, shit or sit.

I dont think its infection.

It was prbably the sudden seperation of the 2 substances.

I don't know for sure. I bet a vet/mod will have a solid answer for you.

If $$$ isn't an issue go to urgent care so you quit stressin'. If you have an infection you're not gonna grow anyway-might as well get it looked at so you aren't risking a staph infection. If privacy is an issue-go to one on the other side of town where you won'tpotentially see any fellow gym members, neighbors, relatives, etc. A fix up will cvost you around $300 Rx included.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Im going to give it 24 more hours and then hit the doc. Money isn't an issue, I just want to go to my normal doc and not a clinic.. Im open with my doctor so I dont mind telling him. He's the one who orders my blood tests anyways...

After sitting on my ass all day at work, I dont have a lump anymore.. Now it looks like someone took a paddle and whooped my ass a few good times. Feels like a flat, hard, hot burger sized spot on my ass. Im going to keep applying the cream and leave work early tomorrow and go visit the doc.

What a pain in the ass this is... Literally...

I been getting lumps after every shot in the glute on this cycle i am on test E 200 mg and deca thing the oil is too thhick in the deca but they all go away before next shot so i never stressed it prolly go away on its own

That's how mine was. I could get the swelling down with ice, but it would come back-and was always warm to touch/red.

is it spreadaing? do you have red bloches or circles around the site? I have been unfortunate to have 2 bad injections. 1st one was bad and had to see doc. the second one, I used an old antibiotoc I had left over. With glute injections it is very easy to go in at a wierd angle and not go deep into muscle. This can cause cellulitis which is an infection under the layeers of skin. it gets traped and slowly spreads. this is bad. If you start seeing this, GET TO YOUR DOC!!!. If it is just a knot, stick with antiinflamatory and heat.
