Current gas prices and opinions.

Idk about the rest of you but the gas prices along the east coast are starting to go up (again) "due to the storm in the gulf"... here regular unleaded jumped from 3.52 (i believe) to 3.81..

$3.60 here. Almost 50% of refinery capacity on the path of storm. Also, on of the biggest refineries ib the world in Venezuala just went boom. Long term, crude that usually goes to those places is piling up which normally leads to a drop in prices which leads to a drop in gasoline prices when refineries are back up and running.
 
Rocket, I am with yah man, im fortunate i get reimbursed for gas for my job, but for the past month i get weekly phone calls from my office having to explain why im spending 3-500 a week in gas
 
Paid $4.07 for regular unleaded in Oceanside last night. Then I went inside the gas station and bought 2 monsters for $4.00.
 
I drove to BevMo and paid $12.99 for a 1.75 of Widmir Brothers bourbon barrel aged ale last night. I get about 12 miles to the gallon, raising that bottle price to $17.08.
 
Boo-hoo, bunch of cry babies. Regular gas here is $1.35/L which in gallons converts to about $5.1/gal. So Stop crying about it.
 
Been above $4 here in Chicago for as long as I can remember. Even at Costco this morning it was $4.19.

In before someone blames it on Obama.

Yeah, I got gas today and the price at the pump was $4.179. And that is one of the lower priced stations around my area. If that's the price at that station, the others are over $4.20 easily for reg. unleaded. San Diego typically has the highest gas prices in the nation.
 
Its been 4.80 here for a long ass time... its down to 4.30 but Costco has a discount so I get it there

I suddenly dont feel so bad paying 3.81 per gallon.. I know here a few years ago after Katrina I believe it was. Gas was almost $5.00 a gallon and all you could get was regular or diesel they didnt have 89 or 93 octane.. and alot of stations around here couldnt even get gas people were missing work because they couldnt find gas anywhere to get there.. I wish they would just drill here (in the U.S.) and phase Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and where ever else the U.S. gets its oil out of the equation.. that would result in low fuel prices and open up countless jobs for Americans cutting into the unemployment percentage, not to mention it would greatly stimulate our economy. IMO anyway..

oil drilled here doesnt go to the world market 1st... And any oil drilled here will be exported to China and India anyways. Ask Canada...$5 a gallon there.

Yea this is true, valid points all around.. but the oil companies and everyone else associated knows we have to have it and we will pay their prices as long as we can no matter what they are.. when sales go down because no one can afford it they will drop the prices slightly till sales pick back up..

Yea same way here.. across the state line a couple months ago I seen 3.02 i believe it was and heard it went under $3 a gallon for a couple days
