^^^this was the basis for my whole argument. Women can NEVER be men....regardless of what the media pushes on society, or whatever outside influences would like to think. As long as men possess the nuts, I don't see gender roles really changing.

I was saying in my Psychology of Sexuality class that "women were as bad as men" in today's society and the females clammed up and didn't say a word! Classic denial.....the guys, however were absolutely in tears.....some clapped.

It's a deeper issue with more variables than we've touched on here, I'm just saying that I don't agree with your point. Perhaps it's our sample populations that are contrasted, but I don't see any validity in what you are proposing. Females are more "female" than they've ever been....always wanting relationships, wanting more than most guys are willing to give. To me that speaks of the female's primary need to seek out relationships with males. Your point about women having casual sex, therefore they are acting out a male role is invalid also. In order for a female to have casual sex, a male is having casual sex also......so really there's no basis for your argument.

justify why my point about casual sex is invalid. your casual dismissal isnt really good enough. furthermore women have always wanted to snare a partner - i dont see how they are 'more female' for doing so with increased expectations and proactivity.

Whether I profile people "left and right" or not doesn't automatically make me a mindreader. I can take alot from a person's mannerisms and their bodylanguage and I can break down the words that come out of their mouths, take any meaning that might be there, but that still doesn't mean I know all their alterior motives. When a girl shows interests it could be any number of things, but mostly in my case I think it's them wanting attention or casual sex. Short of going up to them and asking them what they want, there's no way I'm going to get a definitive answer.
