Why am I so scared to diet?? Planning to do a CKD!

I've spent the last 10 months training very hard. I've been on the needsize 5x5 plan. I started at 205 pounds at 11% and I'm now 245 at 15%. I really want to diet down and get rid of this gut that grew on me over the recent months. I do not however want to loose an ounce of lean mass. This is the main reason I'm afraid to diet. I also have bigorexia now. I feel that even though I'm 45 pounds heavier than before I started, I feel even smaller. I know the fat hides all the gains but I'm really messed up in the head right now. I'm very very worried about loosing muscle mass. I've put inches on my chest, and legs and even a full inch on my arms during this 5x5 routine. Unfotunately I've gained about 4 inches on my waist.

I plan to use CKD, but it scares me. It seems too damn hard and too dedicated, I'm scared it won't work or I'll get it wrong, and loose to much lean mass.

It seems that when I use the worksheet with a weight of 245 that it calculates a BMR that is very low, 2940 calories. Your supposed to base your CKD off of this BMR but what about cardio and lifting does it take these into account? Basic CKD says restrict cals by 5,10,15%, but if you include a cardio session as well then what?

when it all boils down to it, u must take in fewer cals. then your bmr to lose the fat. With this diet there is a sufficient amt of protein in the diet to preserve LBM

Don't let a CKD scare you man. If you keep your diet CLEAN and carb up properly (clean) you shouldn't have to worry about losing any LBM. Heck man, I hardy do the diet perfect (although I'm working on improving it) but I haven't had a problem keeping my LBM. Just keep your workouts going and you should be fine. You can always try it for a month or so and see how you do with it :).

nothing ventured nothing gained (or in this case, lost).

you gotta bite the bullet, do your research and make sure everything goes to plan. if you do that, you'll be fine. good luck.

-keep lifting hard
-begin with eating maintenance, slowly lower calories until you slowly begin to loose weight
-the slower you drop weight, the more LBM you'll keep
-eat as many meals a day as possible
-include protein with every meal
-keep the muscles relatively full with carb up's
-obviously keep protein high (but not too high, or you won't get into ketosis)
-always drink a good PWO shake
-use anabolics
-rest as much as possible, lots of sleep

Good luck. Hopefully you can find in yourself the same dedication to the diet that you have to the blessed iron.
