If your gun was flaming pink, would you still carry it? Ask yourself that question and answer it honestly. If your answer is no, then you really don't need to carry it.
I'm not trying to give you guys a hard time. I was a 2nd amendment fanatic once myself. You just have to truly understand what you're dealing with. If you think you'll use it to to defend yourself in some bar fight, think again. You shoot someone in a bar fight and you will likely be convicted. Even shooting an intruder in your home doesn't mean you won't get convicted.
Sometimes it's just more sensible to let someone steal your wallet or to run away from a threat.
1) Its illegal to carry a gun into a bar so I wouldnt be doing that anyway.
2) If someone has a gun pointed at me and wants my wallet he can have it, Im not that stupid.
3) Texas (my state) Law stipulates deadly force is authorized to prevent someone from committing aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery. As well as to prevent someone from committing arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime. Or to prevent someone who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property. The non property offenses also apply with the same authorization of lethal force to the protection of a third party as well. Let me know when these things stop happening in proximity to where I live so I can sell my gun.
4) If I shoot an intruder in my home at night theres not a jury in the state that will convict me. During daylight, If I ask an intruder what his business is in my home and ask him to leave and he doesnt, he can be shot legally. Not saying I would shoot him at that point, just stating the law.
5) Dont know what carrying a pink gun has anything to do with it, but I will guess that you are trying to test if someone just wants to carry a gun because its cool or macho. Therefore if you make the gun pink and someone says no, their priorities are misplaced or something. From a practical standpoint I would not carry a hot pink gun for running the risk of the bright color catching someones eye and drawing attention to it, should the gun become accidentally exposed in any way out in public (law states it must remain concealed so a dark color facilitates that).
This should pretty much cover what I am dealing with but thank you for your concern.
