what freebie computer programs are a Must Have for general maintenance?

i've been looking for something like that for a while. I've downloaded free trials and when they expired, I cleaned the registry, "everything", but still couldn't use the program/s again.

i have ran into this problem also, iMesh 6.0 does the same thing. Has nothing to do with your registry or comp. I reformatted my hard drive and started from scratcha and still couldnt reinstall it for 30 free days. They must keep a record of the MAC address of the NIC

So NOTHING will do this?

you can "spoof" your MAC address, I know there are programs out there that can do that but I havent used any of them. Ill ask some of my classmates to see what they have used.

I work with computer engineers.

I bet one of them could look at the source code and figure it out.

source code of what? just out of curiousity

maybe it wasnt the source code.

I know they were looking at programs that had a trial period and figured out the line that causes it to expire. They then deleted that line.

You probably know a lot more than I do about that sort of thing.
