i need about 3600 cals a day to maintain and do about 700-800 calories of exercise a day 4-5 days a week. For the last few months 2800 has been enough to keep me satiated but i guess my bodys fighting back, im starting to get hungry on less than 3600 cals a day. Should i give into temptation off & on from now on (eat below maintenance 5 days a week, eat at maintenance 2 days a week)? Technically my body has been using more calories than it has been recieving virtually everyday for the last 3.5 months, i dont know if eating at maintenance (about 3600 a day) for a few days will help trick it into continuing the weight loss or not but theoretically it might.

Anyway, i'm probably going to need some appt. suppressants. i'm looking into Phenylalanine & maybe Hydroxy Citric Acid. I'd rather not use any alpha/beta/dopamine adrenergic stimulants like bromocriptine, ephedrine, norepinephrine, etc. I also would rather not take something that affects serotonin levels like 5HTP.

Does green tea suppress the appetite? i hear conflicting reports on it. I just started it and dont know if the 2 are related (changed appetite & green tea). im on 500mg ed of BAC extract.

this is odd. TOday i've only eaten 250 calories. its 5pm right now ive been up since 720am. did cardio w/yohimburn at about 1020, did 38 minutes of it w/the last 6 minutes being HIIT and teh only thing i ate was some granola at 1217. But i'm not really hungry. I could eat if i wanted to but i am not hungry for food like i was this weekend. Maybe my body is wired to store and release calories or something because i'm pretty sure this happened before. I had hypo due to a drug i was taking, i ate about 3800 calories a day then when the hypo went off i ate 2100 a day for a couple of days which evened my caloric intake out. Hopefully at least.

have you incorporated refeed days into your regimen?

it sounds like your leptin levels have plummeted and you would definitely benefit from 1-2 refeed days when your cals are increased above maintenance.

as for supps to help you control your appetite, the one that works the best for me is ephedrine. green tea sometimes makes me so nauseous that even the thought of food makes me sick.
i have also read anecdotal reports that l-glutamine helps helps with cravings, but i don't know if this is true.

i only ate 1600 calories yesterday (wasn't hungry for more) and i have only taken in 900 as of 530pm today (been up since 720).

I have incorporated refeed days, but its only 2-3 times a month and all i do is eat maintenance (3600 or so) i don't eat like 2000 calories above maintenance as some do or recommend. Should i add more refeed days? should my diet be lax during refeeds or should i only gorge on foods which are already on my diet? Im doing low fat (i have my reasons to not do low carb), so i don't know if i should eat anything or just low fat or if there is a difference.

even though you don't feel hungry during the day you should increase your daily cals to 2800-3000. otherwise starvation mode will set in and it will backfire on you. you've been dieting for 3.5 months as it is, your leptin levels are plummeting and your body will fight back.

you could try having a refeed day once a week and see how that works out for you. basically still eat relatively clean, but just increase the cals to 3800-4000. you could be a little lax on those days too, it's really up to you and it depends on how it will work out for you. just don't go overboard and try to keep it fat low.
