Knee still hurts and is tight. Working on stretching it a lot though..getting better.

PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND 'SAVE TARGET AS'!!!!

Couldn't do box squats so I decided to try doing botom position partial squats. About a 12" or more ROM.

495, knee brace down x 1
675 with knee brace on

I also did rack pulls from below the knee.
680 x 1

I also did some light leg extensions. I would bring the weight up with both legs and down only with my right (hurt) leg.
25 x a bunch

I also did some stretching and tried to do some bodyweight squats...NOT fun.

glad to see knee feels better to handle 600+ lbs lol

It was a partial 600 and mostly like a Goodmorning and not really a squat. Mostly just pushin the hips through. It does feel better though.

I just refuse to sit here and have an injury...

How far out are you from your next competition?

I mean do you have time to treat it so that it doesn't compound into something awful?

and what was the final word--did you get a doc to check it out, anything like that?

No contest in the future as of now. Might be one around Christmas...might be February...maybe later.

My knee is sooo much better today than it has been. I have a greater ROM now (after training) than I have had in 10 days.

I did NOT see a doctor. A friend who is a doctor suggested an MRI which I really can not afford the near 1k to have it done. The IFSA-USA (pro strongman organization) doctor told me that if it was a lot better in 10 days that he would see a doctor face to face.

I figure that if I can stay away from events for a few weeks, back off on squats (etc...) for a while...it should heal. No reason to push it right now...and the 675 partial felt easy.

What are your thoughts?

yeah restoring ROM ASAP is so important

but scar tisue may be a problem. Nothing wors ethan having something impinging your nerves :(

b, check out some deep tissue massage to help fix any scar tissue problems. I recommend it a lot because it has worked wonders for various injuries I've had.

Hmmm...not sure where I would get deep tissue massage type things around here. I live in the boonies...

All of the 'numbness' is gone. Tomorrow will tell a lot I feel. I hope that I feel good tomorrow.

it is a good thing that you have time....you are nit forced to rush it. my original thought was an mri but it would not heal like this if it were a torn ligament. I would see if murray state (that is your school right) has a training room. If so give the head trainer a call and see if he/she will let you come in and do some ice, and stim, followed by a little ultra sound to help break up any scar tissue. As far as your workload I would definately establish a full rom as soon as you feel ready. Whatever you do don't try to force it back into full action b/c if it is tendonitis it will stay the same and never feel better and in the long term just continually hold you back. You are a very elite athlete and you know exactly what you are doing....you will be fine i'm sure.

B you look strong man. Definitely looking strong. Great to read that you have a greater ROM after training. Keep the active rehab routine in effect bc it's working :)

Good idea IronLion!

looking good bro, no waiter puns intended. good to see you back at it:) can't wait to see you tomorrow:)
