I also just reread Dballer's original post and in that amazingly long article could only find 2 1/2 references to Israel:
1) The spy ring reportedly includes employees of two Israeli-owned companies...
2) Although Israel denied any involvement with the penetration of the U.S. wiretap system, the CIA and FBI are investigating the direct government ties to the former Israeli military and intelligence officials now being held by the Justice Department...
3) The U.S. law enforcement wiretaps...appear to have been breached by organized crime units working inside Israel and the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad. (No proof, just conjecture...Israeli companies so they must be government sanctioned, eh?)
In fact, the entire article really is about the failure of CALEA, the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act rather than an accusation of Israel. Funny how out of 30 some-odd paragraphs containing 140 lines and 1,500 words, Dballer can extrapolate 10 or so lines of text with which to condemn Israel. Congratulations Tom, you are a master sleuth. Talk about finding a needle in a haystack!
