Tried to do cardio today and my back was too tight

I tried using the treadmill today for the hell of it and I couldn't go more than 10 mins because my back tightened up. Then I switched to that machine with the weird foot paddles on the track and the arm bars and it didn't help.

Anyone else ever have this happen? This used to happen even before I started doing DLs.

When you say tightness are you referring to muscle tightness from training, or a tightness from a minor injury. If you are wanting to pursue cardio, you might want and try to find an alternative. . something that will not affect the area.
 
No, I last deadlifted 7 days ago--I will again tomorrow.

I did do front squats, SLDLs, and lunges on Friday.

The discomfort is back tightness, similar to standing too long, or the feeling I get if I squat too soon after DLs.
