training weakest points

I am not figuring out how best to handle my weak point training. Right now I workout each muscle group overall about every 5-7 days and then i dedicate a day to just hit my weaker areas as 2nd time in that 5-7 days. is this over training and backfiring on me or will it help bring thos areas up.

it depends on a lot of factors

training your body for weight training is a body/muscle memory thing.
gaining strength is another ball game
gaining muscle is another ball game.

the goal of weight training for you sounds like you want to be efficient. break down the muscle and then let it recover

This is sort of like my car doesn’t start, what do I do.
Here are some options s that I have used in the past to bring up lagging muscles.
1) increase the frequency ie 2x week
2) break the muscle down and split ie legs- hams and quads, arms - bi’s and tris
Split I to morning/ afternoon
3). Work the muscle every workout for a week outside of regular training days. 1 exercise , 3 sets. 20-30 reps. Fill it with blood daily- different type of growth.
