would put a lot less stress on your wrists when doing close grip bench. it just sucks, 'cause your wrists get all tired, but cg bench is so good for your tris!

How do you use an ez-curl bar when you're close grip pressing 225ish?
I can't imagine a rack that would hold the bar with that much weight and let me get under it with a bench. And no one in my gym is going to deadlift 225 every time I want to do a set, much less that even can deadlift that.

So that's 255 (assuming we call the ez-curl bar an even 25). How many reps are you pushing out with that? Is it easier to press with the ez? Does it isolate the tri any better? Or is it just better for the wrist?
Actually I have seen very large cambered bars that you could use for bench, problem is I havent really seen them in any gyms! But on the WSB website they have some pics of guys using it for bench. I imagine you could buy one if you were really heart set on it.
If you are having wrist problems you need to find ways to strengthen your wrists. You can also bring your grip outwards just a bit. I put my pointer finger on the smooth part of the bar. I used to go extremely close (could touch my thumbs together) but found that doing so gave me more pain than growth/strength.
I've done 315 for quite a few on close grip and still suggest the straight bar.

Fro - does it isolate the tris better - probably not as it is a mdrange movement. It is MUCH better for me personally as I have flare-ups with tendonitis.
I haven't used an EZ curl bar in a while so I don't exactly remember how far apart the hands are...any idea? I just wonder how the bend in the EZ curl bar would feel if I did them.
I have had wrist problems from doing close grips before...I just usually ended up either pre-exhausting before close grips or doing something else completely different.
