Throwing in upperbody plyometrics to increase bench

Im yraining westside right now. but im wondering if throwing in some upperbody plyometrics, with the medicine ball. twice a week, wouldnt help to additionally increase my speed and power in my bench?

Additionally. Ive always wanted to put some more training into the westside programs. like a few sets for biceps, calfs, and chest. as well as some plyometrics. How close does westside bring the average person (who practices active recovery) to overtraining. and is there room for anymore training?

I have found plenty of room...but you have to adjust slowly and let your body acclimate. I have done a lot of upper body plyo movements and they are very useful. I would suggest you do them after your me bench and again on saturday

There are tons of plyo push-ups out there that would benefit you much more than a med ball. Med balls are much to light if you've already got a good base of strength.
