I do not tolerate a man hitting a woman. NO matter what she says...what can she say that is that bad to where you have to hit her...PUSSY? People just walk by and say it is none of their business....BULLSHIT. When violence is invovled it becomes your business. I was raised that men do not hit women. I will step in anytime and stop a man from hitting a woman. I would take an ass beating(which would never happen) for a lady I never met. A woman brought you into this world....RESPECT THAT. If she kicks you in the NUTS...well, make a choice, but do not hit her

Ahem, ok my two cents now:

Violence against women and oppression of women unfortunately is part of all cultures. It is not confined to Arab or middle Eastern cultures alone, although some people in the West seem to try to hang on to that stereotype.

As for your friend Natymike, may I suggest that she leave this man who is abusing her immediately and may I suggest that you help her with that as much as you can since you are her good friend. Men who beat women or abuse women in any way don't deserve to be with women. Unfortunately still too few women draw the consequences and leave their abusive partners.

Furthermore, I suggest that you help your friend improve her confidence and self-appreciation which must be lacking if she is willing to put up with an abusive partner.

Finally, as a self-defense instructor I am going to shamelessly plug my industry here and say that women who participate in self-defense classes on a regular basis will over time develop a great deal of self-confidence and sense of self-worth as well as invaluable self-defense skills. No woman or girl that I have taught in my classes would ever be willing to put up with an abusive boyfriend/husband or partner.

Isnt it the Arabs or Indians that cut off the clit of the females........ I think some cultures they also cut off the outer lips. A Dr. friend of ours is in somewhat of a legal battle right now with a lady that he delivered her baby. He had to cut her quite a bit in order for the baby to deliver. From what I was told they cut her lips and clit off and then sewed her up real tight. Anyway he refused to sew her back up and now the husband of this lady is wanting to press charges against him. Sex is to only be enjoyed by the man in that culture.

In college 2 of my buddies and I came out of a party and saw this dude arguing with a chick in a car in the parking lot...... we walk toward the car..... all of a sudden he backhands her...... we run over to see what's up..... dude pulls out a tazer and tries to zap us..... my buddy grabs his arm and throws it down so that his arm hits the door and he drops the tazer...... pulls the dude out of the car then proceeds to knock the shit out of him. too make a long story short.

Anyway the chick freaks out and gets all bent out of shape at us . ends up picking up that tazer thing and coming at us........ needless to say we got the fuck out of there..... So, why do women stay with, protect some asshole like this that treats them like shit. I mean the dick can't be that good right?

One of my good friend from HS--(female/20 years old), is dating a 33 year old Arabian man. It has been about a year now and all of her friends (including me), don't really approve of him. He is just using his money to control her. :

I ask because I'm half Iranian and I'm VERY familiar with the issue of control and would have to question what motivates your friend to stay.

What is it that you do not like, his abusive nature, control issues or that he perhaps uses money to get the toys he wants. Money is just the easiest way to control someone.

Yeah, and up until as of late, people actually stayed married. Find me a couple of working parents with children who don't want each other dead. (newlyweds don't count, thx.)

- If a woman acts premiscuous, she is labelled among other things, a slut, whore, etc. If a man does the same thing, he is regarded as a stud, playa, etc

I regard him as an idiot begging for disease and bastard children. The woman, however, is still a slut/whore.

as much as i hate to admit it...it is your friends fault!!!she's allowing herself to be controled by $$$'s...pretty shallow if you ask me.does she not have a brain???or a 1/2 brain to get out of an abusive relationship...?i can understand your frustrations w/ her husband and i beleive that these types of abusers always get what they deserve sooner or later,but,your friend is not at all what i would call strong minded...it's her choice:1)abusive relationship-but lotsa $$$'s or 2)freedom...hope there's no kids involved...
