Arabic beliefs differ greatly from region to region. The fundamental differences in their beliefs are often reflective of their cultural practices. Fundamentalist Islamic beliefs are very militant and are not within the scope of traditional Islamic practices. My friend who is from Palestine explained to me that while practicing true Islam that the women are considered the main structure of the house hold and are held in high regard.

The history of women in Europe and in the Americas is far more worse and demeaning than anything you would find in other geographical locations. Race nor religion play any factor in the treatment of women. Mainly cultural beliefs and socially accepted practices are more pertinent when it comes to the treatment of women.

- Women are portrayed as sex objects throughout advertising, entertainment, etc

- Up until as of late, women were supposed to stay home and take care of the kids while the men were the breadwinners

- If a woman acts premiscuous, she is labelled among other things, a slut, whore, etc. If a man does the same thing, he is regarded as a stud, playa, etc

The list goes on... not that these are limited to America however

Lmao, I knew that the whole "arab" thing would piss people off, but it looks like it only pissed one person off, but that person gets offended by everything. 2 of my good friends are arabian, its not like I hate the entire culture, just this fag. I didn't really care that he was arab, until this incident because, as people said, this is often part of their culture in their homeland, yes this is a stereotype, but I don't give a shit, thats my opinion.

Warick--I'm pretty sure it was not her fault, his side of the story was that he grabbed her from running away and she fell, but that doesn't explain why the cops jumped on him. This girl only told 2 people what happened when she was drunk, and now she wont tell anyone, she just says that nothing happened because she doesn't want us to kick the shit out of this guy. Its part of psychology, women who get abused usually blame themselves.

This could get long (Bikinimom would be proud of the length of this)......the short version is just make sure you are around for her if it happens again. If you say the right things she'll come around eventually. Confronting the guy will only make it worse for her....and could end up with you not being able to be around at an appropriate time.

One of my close freinds was in a similar situation. She was with a 6'3" 250lb bodybuilder for a long time. He beat her badly 4 times that I know of. The second time ended in time in hospital for her.....the third she was driving with him in the car and he started throwing punches (because he wanted to check her email for messages to other men!). She ended up jumping out right in front of a truck....which isnt good at the best of times. The last time she agreed to meet up with him in public to retrieve some stuff he stole from her.....turns out he just wanted to beat her again. Go figure....I didnt see that one coming at all!! (unfortunately I didnt know she did it until it was to late).

She did tell me she loves him and she thinks he loves her.....uhmmmm sure thats why he put her in hospital right? Fact is she needed somebody....anybody (even an insecure, punch happy fucking asshole gggggrrrrrr). I gave her somewhere else to go for company (theres a big distance between us so quit thinking what you are thinking!) and eventually my freind has realised that he was scum. This incidentally is one of the few incidents in my life that I am proud of the way I handled it.....

To cut a long story short....he got a month in jail for his trouble (not near enough IMO)......plus a minimum 2 years for trying to run from the law (hes still waiting on tha trial). Fortunately he is so dumb that he managed to get into a car chase whilst laying low. And she has realised that he is an asshole afterall! It would not have turned out so well if I had just pounded his face (alot of women in my family marry abusive men....so I learnt this the hard way).

I figure people who beat women are insecure little bitches....which is convenient because they usually end up being somebodies bitch. If you give them enough rope they will hang themselves......assholes like them always slip up eventually.

Oh if the guy I'm talking about can manage to drag his ass away from Bubba for 2 secs I have a message for you: FUCK YOU!! I'd like to shoot you in the head....but i figure I'll pass seeing as Bubba is prob using his weapon on you right now. geez this guy brings out the worst in me.....

One of my good friend from HS--(female/20 years old), is dating a 33 year old Arabian man. It has been about a year now and all of her friends (including me), don't really approve of him. He is just using his money to control her.

Well he crossed the line last weekend, they were arguing in the street and he grabbed her and threw her down on the concrete serveral times. Some cops were driving by, they jumped out and tackled the arab and put him in cuffs. Then they asked my friend if she wanted to press charges and of course she says "no its my fault". Well, this arab just gets in his car and drives off. My friend had cuts and bruises all over her.

This arab is gonna get whats coming to him, lets just hope he doesn't get one of his camel jockey friends to bomb my house
