Thank you and good-bye my friends

Thaibox, You are the guy that writes at the end of every post, when someone is down "PM me if you need to talk more about it" I have seen you write this time and time again. I`ve even given you karma for seeing you write it and praising you for your kindness and help to others.

These people needed you and you were there. Now you need them, LET THEM BE THERE FOR YOU.

The only real failure would be to give up... don't do anything rash, please! If there is ANYTHING I can do, please let me, man.

You can't leave. I'm not done learning from you yet. It seems that through all of what has happened you have continued, strived, if only to have to start over again, but you still moved on. I'm not about to let you give up now. Don't leave. I know its hard but if this board has made your life so wonderful, then why leave?

In the Battle of Thermopylae, the Spartans knew they were going to fail. But they did not even think of pulling back (300 vs thousands), by the end of the battle every single spartan was slain (only 1 escaped and was killed in a nearby village being branded a coward)...that was considered one of the most honorable battles in Greek history. Continue trying, never give up man...Perseverance is one of the key aspects of honor.
As for the board, it is your decision, but I'd rather not see you go.
I wish you luck in any case.

Thaibox- I hope you are still hanging around and haven't done anything rash. I hope you don't consider having helped many people on here as a failure, or increasing your own knowledge. Sometimes life knocks you down and the only time you are a failure is when you stop trying to get up.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Seriously man, listen to everyone on these boards. The only time you fail is when you don't get back up, and thats not you man. Excuse my language but, fuck that, your more than that and you know it. Check your PM's and get back to us man. No matter how many times life knocks you on your ass, you gotta get back up, and stand taller.

Thaibox... a red flag is waving, bro. Post injury and post surgery serious depression can set in as part of the recovery process. Nobody is immune. (Remember well the lesson of Bababooey... we lost a great bro to depression following his injuries.) Get to a doctor, bro. You have the sound of one word right now - depression - and it may not be situational. It may be chemical. If it is it needs to be treated as soon as possible.

Re: Who is this guy?

Vicious cycle said:
He stood as a candidate for Congress twice, in 1843 without suceess, but in 1847 with success, and he retained his seat until 1849. His only notable action in Congress was his introduction of an anti-slavery bill which failed 1849. He entered into partnership with Herndon (1845) and practised law until 1854. In this year he was made famous by his speech at Peoria, in which he attacked the extension of slavery to to the N.W territories. Emboldened by this success, he stood for senatorship but failed: at his second attempt (1858) he was again defeated. Two years later he was triumphantly elected President.

He is Abraham Lincon. Lots of failure in his story...till the end. NEVER GIVE UP!

Thats a great example.

Thai, I am positive you dont know me very well, but I have read a lot of your posts.

I am one person that knows failure.

Ive failed in school, in my marriage, at being a good father, at supporting my family, at my career, and so far.... at bodybuilding.

I know what depression is, as I suffer from it myself. You've got lots of friends here man that are willing to help out. You need to let them help you. Trust me on this one, it took me years to figure that out.

Thai,
Get back up bro, I've been down many times in my life.... Hell, I've been down and depressed on the board, and you've been there as well as a ton of other people. Get back up, take a stride forward..... failure is your own perseption.... To everyone here you are anything but a failure, stand up tall buddy, you have a lot to be proud of, You've accomplished more than most of the people here will ever accomplish in weight lifting, and already have so much experience in so many different things at such a young age!
You've been in the military... who gives a fuck if you had to leave.. you had an injury that was beyond your control.. that doesn't make you a failure..
Buddy, you've deadlifted over 600 lbs and have transformed your body from a tiny man into over a 260 lbs mammoth of a man! This is not something a failure is capable of!
So you have some injuries that will set you back for some time, maybe even a couple of years..... but you will get back to where you want! You will be better than before... Even if you can't go deadlifting 600+ lbs again, I'm sure there will be plenty of other hard core excercises you will be able to perform....
YOU CAN EXCEL AT ANY ACTIVITY YOU CHOOSE! You've proved it here... Find something else to poor your heart into until you're able to go back to the weights full throttle...

Everybody here believes in you buddy, don't lay down... stand up proud... you've got alot to be proud of!
