Ok I started going to the tanning bed last week and i think I over did it...I tan easy and everything...but between my breasts are peeling and my nose is peeling...is there anything I can do to prevent the peeling? I dont want to lose my tan Im working on for summertime Ive been using Skin So Soft from Avon...but I dont know, I didnt know if there was anything else i could use

Get a heavy duty cream to help keep skin moist....like Cocoa Butter Creme or Vitamin E cream. That stuff is HEAVY so I usually only use it at bedtime or after a bath/shower.

Maybe it depends on your skin.........but I was never able to prevent peeling no matter what unless I didn't burn in the first place (I'm assuming you burned?)

Yeah i burned....actually i dont knwo why i burned...but yeah i did I think ill buy some cocoa butter tomorrow and see how that works :)

Eek! I hate when that happens. I think "well I was going the full 20 minutes last time" and forget that "last time" was 5 months prior. lol I hate cleavage peeling. Aloe gal can help ease the pain of burns a bit and is also a great moisturizer.

I'd say just be careful going in for too long and watch out for accelorating creams for a little while. And you might not want to tan again until the peeling stops because that will be exposing that new baby skin to the light!

Ooh! Finally something I can give advice on! I feel like I've been lurking too long... hehe.

I have an esthetics (skin care) degree so I'm pretty picky about what I use but I've found these two products to be excellent for use during/after tanning:

The Body Shop's Body Butter

Mountain Ocean's Skin Trip Moisturizer

Skin Trip Moisturizer is a great day-to-day moisturizer while using the Body Butter is great for those "drier" times (man, that sounds like a maxi-pad commercial, doesn't it? LOL).

Also, using a finely granulated exfoliator in the shower every day can't hurt. Just make sure not to grind your skin with it or you will increase the appearance of your pore size.

Happy tanning! :)
