Stiff Legged Deadlift

Hi Ladies-

I have been incorporating this move into my leg routine once a week , and love it (with 20lb fixed barbell) .My question is the leg stance , I have read two school of thoughts that knees should be slightly bent , and the other that the knee's should be locked out , and of course with strict form.

Now , I have done it both ways , but find that with knee's locked out , I get the better stretch , and really feel it in the back of my legs. With knees slightly bent I feel it mostly in the ole rear end , but not enough to feel like it is doing anything.

Any opinions? Thanks

It's great to see the women's perspective on these exercises. We had the question come up on the Weights forum a while ago and the impression was that hardly anyone was flexible enough to touch back to the ground let alone have any need of a platform.

I do mine straight-legged but not locked. Having bent knees will move some of the emphasis to the hips and glutes, as you've noticed.
