Starbucks coffee worth $42/gallon?

I'm not keen on coffee but you can buy a pound of their coffee beans for 6.99-7.99. That makes a hell of a lot more than a gallon.

Let me explain.

I was at a seminar with 200 people. The hosts bought 12 gallons of Starbucks coffee at $42/gallon. That is what the Rennaissance Hotel charged the hosts.

Just seemed high to me.
