Squats

benchmaniac2 said:
how the hell are you meant to squat while keeping your knees behind your otes..i tried it without weight, and it felt like my back would cave in. The only way i could do it comfortably was by moving my legs much wider than shoulder-width.

looks like you found your answer... everyone is built differently and a wider stance, is generally more comfortable and safer than a narrower one for most people... keep your toes facing basically forward and take as wide a stance as you feel comfortable with...

I think GenetiKing said it best when he described the day after legs:
Sitting down on the shitter as being a "Greek Tragedy" :D :D

LOL!!! Damn Y_Lifter , you have a good memory! LOL!!

A word of advice............squats are good when done with good form...if you go parallel slowly with strict ass form then youll do well. DO NOT go all the way down with a bounce at the bottom.....trust me it doesnt do your knees any good.......i developed a nasty little click in my knee not so long ago.......a big mistake for me.

yeah, i train with buffal2001, hes right.

Get away from that smith machine, Phemomena said it best!!

she knows her shit.

go slow, parallel and dont use weight you cant handle.
in other words, lift with your muscles, not your ego!!!

good to hear that you can finally call yourself a bodybuilder, 'cause if you dont squat.....get the fuck out of the gym!!

haha, not directed at you guys with bad backs!
