Sprinting To Cut? Any Advice

Hey Could anyone help me put together a sprinting program to help cut down a bit.
Ive heard you can do this, but im not exactly sure how to put it together and with what sort of frequency

What up man? Here is a program my brother and I used through college. This was a preseason (summer) thing.

(1)Get to a track.
(2)Sprint 100 Yards and then walk the turnaround. Sprint 100 yards when you hit the straightaway again. Do this until you have sprinted 10 separate times.

(3)Walk once around, you WILL be winded.

(4)Sprint 30 yards and walk back to where you started your sprint. Sprint again and then walk back. Do this until you have completed 10 separate sprints.

Do it twice a week.

Stretch @ the end of this for at least 10-15 minutes. While using this drill, minimize the weight training of your legs.. Let me know.
 
I like walking 30 minutes on the treadmill and then sprinting for 10-15 right after, feels like i sweated buckets and got the best of both worlds.

shit that's a lot of volume even juiced elite sprinters wouldn't be doing this much at 100% intenisty :)

jog before you run if you haven't sprinted in a long while. You can easily pull a hamstring or ankle tendon while sprinting, I would suggest at least 2-3 weeks of negative glute ham raises on the floor before starting, do interval jogs while your at it.

Do a search on this forum - topic comes up quite lot.

The program worked well for both of us. I should have mentioned that prior to beginning the program, my brother and I were in tremendous physical condition.
If you are just starting and are not in top condition, I would do the 100's one day and the 30's another. Your week would then look like this;

Monday - 100's X 10
Tuesday - 30's X 10
Wednesday - 5 Mile jog
Thursday - 100's X 10
Friday - 30's X 10
Saturday - 5 Mile jog
Sunday - OFF

That should do it.

If you are in top shape then go for it. It worked for us.

Sorry to bring up War memories. I bet you were in great shape though. Freestyle wrestlers, which I assume you were are always in top shape. Tough conditioning.
 
you will burn out the CNS sprinting over 90% all the time.

I suggest anyone doing sprints do what Charlie Francis advocates in his training manual - alternate tempo runs at 50-75% intensity - 150-300m for recovery and speed endurance. And shorter accleration sprints at 30m @ 90% next session.

If people like Ben Johnson on Dianabol were training like this, you bet your ass its the right way to train :)

Valid point. Ben Johnson really liked his Winstrol. Why don't you give this one a shot? What do you think?
