Some Retard in the Gym

I saw this one kid "maxing out" a few sets on his bench one day. He hardly goes halfway down, though. So one day I ask him how much can he bench. He says "375". I say "A full rep?". He says "Yep". I ask "What is a full rep to you, because last time I saw you bench you only went halfway down". He says "That's how I bench, man.". I ask "How is that a full rep?"

He goes on and shows me how when the arms are pulled back a little bit, that's when the pectorals are FULLY stretched, so that's how he benches.

.......WTF!! I want some feedback about that over here please. I think this kid's a friggin retard, and not only because of what I said above, but because the way he trains is GOD-AWFUL and he calls himself a Bodybuilder. And he acts like he's the friggin shit around the gym. And I'm not the only one who thinks he's on steroids. If you're on roids, do everything right, dammit!

DAMMIT! I hate that kid!

homo's i see guys at my student rec who do this all the time. i hate all of them. i love the guys who can curl like 135 with their whole body and when i ask them to do strict movement they can only do like 85 lbs. lol what a bunch of homos. go join special olympics
 
I love the noodles that load the bar with 405 and squat 1/8 of the way down and then rack it, then they walk away like they are some badass or something.
 
It's no different than when you see the guy with 225 on the bench and has his buddy helping him on every one, helping a lot. Then that guy tells everyone he works out with 225.
 
i dont even train with a partner bc i hate ppl. i train by myself and use the smith machine if i know im gonan go really heavy.
 
Funny you mentioned the half way down on the bench thing. I have seen more and more young kids doing bench this way. I'm 46 and have been lifting for 23 years so I'm obviously old school. But I just don't see the point of the half way down thing. Is this like a new trend?
 
my boss who i lift with from time to time cause i like his gym can barely get 225 of the rack just told me he got 315 for a max becnch th e other day. This guy is probably 6'1" and 250 at like 28%bf he is just crazy,he tries every "mass stack" in the mags and has blown out his back and a couple weeks ago his rotator cuff he tries too hard to look good but he keeps going backward. he tries to lift with me, i have legit 365 bench and have deadlifted 450 for reps at 200lbs 13%bf so i tell him to take it easy and drop some weight but the joker doesnt listen, people like that should be smacked when they get hurt.
