This disgusts me on many levels. And it ain't like we weren't eating meat back then. Modern health advice to me is about as useful as a fortune cookie.
So coronary artery disease was apparently "non existen" before 1920.

You do know humans were conducting medical autopsies long before the 1920's right? We still don't understand coronary artery disease to the fullest, namely what causes it. But we knew when people died from main arteries getting clogged before 1920...we just didn't know what caused it. Even cancer we were seeing in the late 1800's early 1900's. Again, didn't know what caused it still don't...but we could peel people open and see the tumor.
