Shoulder Injury

You must work your rotator cuffs (if thats how you spell it)

I would recommend that you work your rotator cuff after they have been fixed and yes, deca will lube up your joints and ligs.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder flaring up agagin Mehta. I finally had to go in for an MRI myself this week after 6 visits to the Chiropractor, shoulder exercises & the cortisone shot all showed no improvement. An old tear showed up in the MRI along with an arthritic bone spur which needs to be shaved off. The surgeon said he can fix it all by scoping it. Made an appt to have it done next month. Hopefully the rehab won't take too long since it's going to be scoped vs cut open with an incision. I'm just going to bite the bullet & have it done. I feel for you bro. You might want to seriously consider having an MRI done too since your pain is coming back again & just so you can honestly see what it is that you're dealing with. Good luck Mehta & take care.

Wel Well Well

I do know a little somthing about the rotator cuff
2/28/02 had my rotator cuff reattached to the bone
I had a 1.5 cm seperation
I've been having problems sence 99' and just kept working through it...............well it lead to Brachiol Plexopathy
a nerve condition of the sholder reagin, my trap shrunk
my romboids stoped firing along with my taries
Need less to say i'm in recovery mode, but I feel I lost a years worth of gains. I'm back in the gym now using the hammer machines doing like 10 lbs on that side........that sucks
I went to an ART doc with my MRI she told me a tear is a tear you need to have it reattached !!

So the moral of the story.......Dont play Doctor, push your doctor for an MRI that the only way they can tell whats going on. Get it repaired b-4 it's a full seperation and work the small muscle groups that we all neglect.
Good luck............Any one who is having sholder problems and want to chat ,drop me an E-mail [email protected]
I'm no doctor but I've been through it and I've asked my doc lots of questions...:user:

bump for shoulder pain people.

promet has a good point in that if your shoulder is bad enough you may need to have surgery regardless. my stance has simply been to see a good ART practitioner FIRST and see how you respond. If you feel better, great. If not... THEN you move on to more invasive options.

speaking of which... my knee has been the one think ART has really been of no help for, and despite being a huge ART proponent and a believer in putting off surgery at all costs, i think i'll be getting it scoped soon.

I am going to set up an appointment with an ART specialist here in San Diego. I have had shoulder pain off and on in my left shoulder for 3 years and yesterday I really did something to my right shoulder. Hurts like a bitch and especially when I raise it up in a shoulder press motion. ART worked well for Frank Shamrock and I trust his opinion. Good info bro's!!
Injuries suck!

update:

my knee has seen dramatic improvement in the last month thanks to ART. there was a ton of stuff going on with it, most of which has been resolved. i had patellar tendinitis so bad that i couldn't drive for more than 20 minutes without my knee absolutely exploding. anyway... just wanted to share that even a difficult, complicated problem has been alleviated with ART.

Get the MRI before you have anything else done. I thought I had an impingment or rotorcuff problem until my MRI came back. It was a fracture to the clavicle, fortunetly it was non-displaced. Any of the above advice would have only made the problem worse with the exception of rest.
