use static contraction to get past that "mental barrier of yours"
before your max effort bench day...... have a good spotter around...... load up 315lbs on the bench........ dont be scared..... you could do a lot more than that...... unrack it and hold it just short of lockout for 2 sets of 5-10 seconds then put 200 on the bar and laugh as you press it up.
