Serious question about food absorption

I know this is the wrong forum, but I figured id get the best responses here. We all know that sometimes when you eat something, it seems like youre on the can within 20 minutes getting it out of you. My question is this, does this mean you did not absorb the food, or is there less absorption? Just curious as my chicken and oats seemed to come out fast as hell and made me curious if I actually just got my meal. Thanks for the replies

it takes alot longer than 20 minutes haha. how do you know you got your meal of chicken and oats man? just curious haha. on average it takes food 20 to 30 hours to leave the system...

leaves stomach within 2 to 4 hours
through small intestine 5-6 hours
then colon to crapping it out 12-24 hours

it is absorbed through the entire process

as far as your 20 minute problem.. i suggest you just keep eating your crap..

What I mean is occasionally you eat something and you have to take a shit fairly soon after. It just seems like once the food is in you, if it somehow upsets your stomach, it gets out so fast, that was my question

No, eating food will stimulate your colon to release its' contents is all that is happening...... New food coming into the digestive system creates pressure and distention, which in turn, makes your colon release it's contents..... Happens to me every AM, no matter what I eat... Youre absorbing your food fine bro....

It doesn't mean you absorbed everything. Some foods which you might be allergic to, will go right thru you; in other cases, high-fiber intake can cause a laxative effect.
