pfffft. I paid $9.98 / lb yesterday with my Sam's Club Card and I'm near the ocean. Actually I have no clue where salmon are caught so that has no standing, lol... nevermind.
My guess is the salmon you purchased was from 'the other' ocean up near alaska, but that's just a wild guess.
Sam's Club may not be the best placed to buy meat. I have yet to get a better price there than my local grocery store, although there are a few grocery stores that I'd never buy meat from . . .
So I got this salmon and I really don't know how to cook it. I'm a pretty good cook so I'm sure I can figure something out. I could just pan sear it but do you have any good recipes?
I grill everythinig on a range. Plain, so far.. I need to figure out some good spicing up I know there's a sticky with Chefwide I think has alot of good stuff.
For fish I use this cage I have. Place the fish in and flip when nessesary to cook it it's great because when it starts getting ready to come off it will be very flaky and fall apart so the cage is perfect.
