Routine Advice

My routine has grown kind of stale and unproductive so I'm going to try something new and different. I plan to do the following

1 - Chest/Tris
2 - Legs/shoulders
3 - Back/Bis


I can't decide if I want to do 3 days in a row on, 2 off,
or do it like Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and take the weekend off in addition to Tuesday and Thursday. Can anyone give me some opinions on which would be best? Thanks
 
you can do every other day, so you don't get that long gap on the weekends. I usually do 2 days on 1 day rest with that kind of split....
 
if you are going to squat on leg day and deadlift on back day, i would recommend splitting them up so that you have at least 2 days in between back and legs. ex:

tuesday:legs/delt

thursday: chest/tri

saturday:back/bi

this is probably a pretty crappy example, but you get the idea.
 
lemur got the right idea but you want your shoulders to be fresh when you do chest and tris because they stabalize a lot of the excercises that you will be doing.
Try this:
Back/ bis day 1
Chest/tris day 3
legs/delts day 5

in between each day take a rest day or do some cardio when you feel you are getting too much rest then change the amount of rest days if you feel....

That's good advice. I posted my routine some time back, and someone told me the same thing. I took their advice and it has made leg day much more productive. (My leg day came after back/bi day.)
