Also bigmusclehead, when did you first notice these pvc's? How old were you? How many do you get per day? Are they worse when you exercise? Have you noticed any correlation between diet, drugs, lifestyle and how many pvc's you're getting? Are they worse at night or during the day?

hey dr i'm 40 i started getting them doing a cycle of primo and deca,i gave it little thought so i finished the cycle.well that was a year ago and they still persist they happen any time day or evening even when i work out .caffiene, alcohol and being tired flares them up.i get alot during the course of the day maybe up to 20 -30,i got checked by a cardiologist and everythings ok by him he says alot of people get them and don't even know it.so he says don't worry be happy.never tried beta blockers?

Got this from medhelpline.org

PVC’s (premature ventricular contractions) are "extra" heartbeats occurring out of sync with the normal regular rhythm of the heart. PVC’s may cause no symptoms at all or may be felt as a "irregular" heartbeat or as the sensation of a "hard heartbeat". PVC’s are common findings in persons with otherwise normal hearts, in which case the prognosis is excellent and there is no decrease at all in life expectancy. On the other hand, they may indicate that there is an underlying abnormality of the heart muscle (from any number of reasons). If there is an abnormality, then the prognosis and treatment depends upon the specific problem of the heart. The usual evaluation of PVC’s is a history, physical examination, and electrocardiogram (ECG). Also your doctor may wish to check an ultrasound of the heart. If all those tests are normal, then you would fall into the category of people who have PVC’s but otherwise no underlying heart problem. In that case, treatment depends on how much the PVC’s bother you. If they are essentially asymptomatic, then no treatment is required. If they bother you, then a medication called a "beta-blocker" may reduce the frequency of the PVC’s. PVC’s can’t be "cured", but the medication can decrease their frequency. The potential side effects of beta-blockers are tiredness, impotence in men and breathing difficulties in individuals with underlying lung disease. Be sure to discuss these issues with your doctor and under no circumstance should you take medications for the heart without the supervision of a doctor.

bigmusclehead, I would like to ask you some more questions, but prefer not to do it on this thread, as eventually it is going to get pushed out of the system. My email is [email protected]. Please email me as I like to compare your symptoms and solutions to some of my own.

I think fonz misunderstood. I think he thinks you called his response annoying, while what you really did was call PVC's annoying.

And don't take beta-blockers just because the PVC's are annoying.

Galaxy maybe you should quit juicin for a while bro-if that is you in the picture you are swoll enough dog-the lean look is in!!!Your daughter will thank you later.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!

I know Im an uneducated schlump, but from everything I have read so far, my measurement seem within normal range? I dont know wtf my Doc is talking about. I understand his concern with the lipids and bp, but I think he may be jumping the gun. It would probably be different if he didnt know that I juice? Again, I dont know what to think. Arrrggghhhh!

galaxy, when one is confused and in doubt on what direction to take, perhasp suffering from information overload, err on the side of common sense. in this case that means cutting back on the dosages and cleaning up the nutritional profile, and getting BP down. you can choose which supplements make the most sense for you but check out my earlier post and fonz's among other good bros advice and devise your plan using the keep it simple philosophy. niacin, taurine, vitamin C, E, green tea, garlic, a good multivitamin - all fairly cheap. start adding ALCAR, fish oil, etc as you see fit

Bro, mitral regurgitation is no joke. Nothing to fuck around with. It just gets worse and worse...my professor actually called it (not mitral regurgitation in particular, but something similar) "the spiral of death."

Here's what happens...your mitral valve starts regurgitating blood back into your left atrium (usually because of high systemic BP), left atrial pressure increases, this makes it harder for blood to get into the left atrium, which increases the pressure in the pulmonary veins (usually a low pressure conduit). Your heart tries to adjust to all these increases in pressure by stretching and enlarging, which makes them less efficient (ie sliding-filament theory). Then your heart becomes weaker (contractility goes down), so it makes it even HARDED to overcome the original high pressure that caused the whole thing. This eventually leads to pulmonary edema and maybe even heart failure.

I don't want to scare you, because you're not nearly that far along...but that's where it could lead. So just play it safe for now...don't think of it as being a small deal, because that can change quickly.

Good luck bro...keep us updated on how everything goes.

Ok, now the supplements to take to help regenerate your heart in 6 months.

You have to maximize the amount of oxygen that gets delivered to your heart, and also repair the ventricle walls.

1. R-ALA: 1000mgs/day Increases oxygen transport to the heart by 32%
2. Co-Q10: Acts synergisitically with R-ALA. 100mg/day Or, you could use the new Synthetic Idebenone(A stronger form of Co-Q10) at 50mg/day)
3. Acetyl-L-Carnitine(Most important nutrient of all) 10g/day AlCar has been shown to make the ventricle walls of 80 year old men into those of 30-40 year old men. It is the PREMIER heart wall agent repair substance.
4. Green Tea(Standardized for 50% ECGC, 90% catechins and 60% Polyphenols): 2000mg/day Has been shown to have numerous hear protective properties, and will help protect your heart while the other supplemments are doing their job of repairing it.
5. R-ALA+AlCar+GT also will demolish all the free radicals produced by the increased oxygen delivered to your heart so that no damage is done.
6. Magnesium/Calcium/Zinc 1000mg magnesium/2000mg calcium. 45mg Zinc

Now, for your immediate BP needs:

L-Taurine(An amino acid): 15g/day It has been shown to be extremely effective in lowering BP in BB'ers.

EXCELLENT Post imformative post Fonz!
Fonz, do you suggest this supplementation regimn for everyone doing a heavy cycle and training with super high intensity?

I would think it would definitely make sense to maximize the amount of oxygen that gets delivered to the heart anytime doing a cycle right?
